i wonder if there will ever come a time
when i stop crying to sad love songs
and the thought of you.
but for now,
i’ll grieve for every moment
i won’t get to have with you—
for every celebration of mine
that you won’t be there for,
for every hardship
we won’t go through together,
for every moment
i want to share with you.
i’ll mourn them.
i can’t believe i ever took for granted
the life we had together—
and the life we would have had.
i’m sorry it took me so long
to realize that you were always supposed to be
a part of it;
