my 2026 bucket list

something i learned immediately after being diagnosed with cancer (and honestly, something i’m being reminded of again now, as i’ve spent the past couple of weeks with a cast on my dominant leg) is how short life is. it’s way too damn fucking short.

OKay, wait. that’s actually not the first thing i learned. the first thing i learned was how much i hate the words “one day.” the bitter truth? one day may never come. make today your one day. how can you live with yourself constantly saying “one day”?

this is a list of things i put off in 2025 for whatever damn reason i had. there’s probably more, but it felt fitting to keep it at 26 for the year 2026. kind of funny and ironic, if you think about it. because ultimately, i still betrayed myself by falling back into the mindset of “one day”.
