grounding.
two bare feet,
planted in the earth beneath me.
a pull from my center
to your core.
sunlight spills through broken clouds—
its warmth on my skin,
like the warmth of your touch.
to know you
is to be seen by you.
shakable.
fingertips gone raw,
soil clawed like the cry
in my throat—
my voice, lumped and aching,
straining to reach you,
never quite grasping.
