i usually write about pain and angst—
things that hurt, things that ache.
loving you makes it easy to write about joy.
being with you inspires me to write about simpler times.
i find myself trying to find new and creative ways to make sense of the depth of my feelings—
to express in words what’s deep within my heart,
thoughts that swirl around and about in my mind; ways to describe what this feels like to someone unfamiliar with a love so true and rare.
like stolen glimpses, moments with you are worth putting down on pen and paper.
